Little styrofoam packing peanuts were put one at a time onto pieces of light weight flexible wire. The wire was then hung from the lattice with monofilament.
The idea for this was to make a three dimensional line. The material wouldn’t cooperate fully, but for the most part I was able to bend the wire to the shapes I wanted.
As an aside, even though it looks like he’s getting ready to eat the peanuts, the fish was not part of the piece just a sculpture studio mascot of sorts that had been there before I got there and is probably still there today.
